McCain wins
Florida in close race, Rudy Giuliani trails badly.
He is expected to withdraw before tomorrow night's debate. Romney speaking
tonight shows determination to go ahead and challenge the others for the
race. "We have to stop sending the same people back to
Washington just to sit in different chairs." - a paraphrase
from Romney speaking before his supporters.
Hillary won about half the votes in the
Democratic primary but the national committee says they will not honor the
delegates because of the early primary before Super Tuesday.

Many of the news organizations are
now saying Hillary will be second with Edwards third. Exit
polling show 89 per cent of all voters wanted change and thought
the economy needed help badly. Only 11 per cent in
South Carolina thought the economy was doing okay or
fair. The War came in third behind the health insurance issue.

Meanwhile Court action continues to play a part in the Saturday Caucus today as U.S. District Court Judge James Mahan ruled in favor of Barack Obama. The Judge said the nine at-large Caucus locations inside Las Vegas Casinos are legal. Obama had been endorsed by the union representing many of the shift workers who will be able to use the precincts on the Las Vegas strip. Jerry Pippin 8:30 p.m. 1-16-08 |

All the Paper Ballots May be
Gone before the Polls Close
New Hampshire Deputy Secretary of State Dave Scanlan told ABC
News that turnout among primary voters today is "absolutely huge" --
and there are concerns about running out of ballots in towns like
Portsmouth, Keene, Hudson and Pelham. Democratic ballots
especially are running in short supply. Undeclared voters are
breaking for the Democrats according to our internal reports at
JerryPippin.com. New Hampshire Secretary of State William Gardner
predicted that 90,000 undeclared voters would vote in the Democratic
primary compared to 60,000 voting in the Republican primary.
Exit polls show races are closer than
expected, Clinton may not lose by a large margin. MA in our
internal polling declare Obama,
Hold on Mama..lets wait and see, what
will be. MA goes with McCain, Pip says lets see if Paul can
beat Mayor Rudy.

OBAMA MAMA - he
could run away with it?
On GOP side tight race but Ron Paul could tie or surpass Mayor RUDY.
New Hampshire
Primary Prediction -
Using the same method we
used to predict the
results of the Iowa
caucuses, we have made
predictions of the
results of the New
Hampshire primaries. We
used data from all
New Hampshire state
polls taken since the
beginning of the year
and performed linear
regressions on the data
for each candidate, with
time as the independent
variable (x) and
percentage support as
the dependent variable
(y). Then we computed
the value of the
least-squares fit line
at x=8, corresponding to
January 8, the date of
the primaries. Here are
our results:
Republicans Predicted percentage votes John McCain 34.9% Mitt Romney 30.2% Mike Huckabee 11.6% Rudy Giuliani 8.4% Ron Paul 7.3% Fred Thompson 2.8% Democrats Predicted percentage votes Barack Obama 45.1% Hillary Clinton 25.8% John Edwards 20.4% Bill Richardson 5.2% Dennis Kucinich 2.0% We also made the following predictions using data from after January 3, the date of the Iowa caucuses. These predictions are probably more accurate because they reflect voters' sentiments following the caucuses. Note that our revised prediction shows Romney beating McCain. This is most likely due to the fact that McCain did poorly in the Iowa caucuses, so New Hampshire voters may be less likely to vote for him. Also, although Obama still shows a commanding lead over Cliton, it is somewhat smaller than in our original prediction. This may be due to the fact that the linear regression we computed using data from before the Iowa caucus has skewed the regression upwards, since the caucus results have greatly increased his popularity. Republicans Predicted percentage votes Mitt Romney 30.5% John McCain 29.2% Mike Huckabee 12.9% Rudy Giuliani 9.0% Ron Paul 6.0% Fred Thompson 3.9% Democrats Predicted percentage votes Barack Obama 42.7% Hillary Clinton 24.1% John Edwards 17.8% Bill Richardson 8.4% Dennis Kucinich 2.6% Copyright©2006-2007,PresidentPolls2008.com.
